• Why did this mega-smart/mega-dumb conspirators not pull the building at 3pm? Surely waiting until 5.32pm would be far more suspicious.*
• How did the mega-smart/mega-dumb conspirators know that part of the WTC1&2 would fall on WTC7? They couldn't just demolish it without it having sustained some structural damage or it would be obvious that they demolished it!

Why did the South Tower collapse first?

Conspiracy Theorists often ask why did the South World Trade Tower come down first, despite being hit after the North Tower and thus obviously burning for less time.

The reason is due to how Flight 175 hit the South Tower. Flight 11 hit the North Tower roughly quite central, whereas Flight 175 hit the corner, and lower down on the South Tower. This resulted in more pressure on the upper floors of the South Tower, and thus the collapse came before the North Tower.

Is this censorship? No. Why? Because he didn't ask it to be pulled, he just asked for it to be placed in context, a disclaimer or something. But thankfully the Irish TV was smart enough to pull Loose Facts from the nations eyes. Besides, its free online anyway.

Overnight Millionaires

Thoughts this week:

• Some, not all, CT'ers claim that the firefighters, NYPD, FEMA and other Government agencies were paid off to shut up about 9/11 - but would that not create some overnight millionaires? Friends of these people would obviously notice this, and then would they need to be paid off to keep quiet about finding out - and would their friends need to be paid off? Its an endless stream.
• Regarding no planes at WTC... Besides the hundreds of eyewitnesses that saw a plane and saw it hit the tower - why would the Government risk not flying a plane into the tower? Especially the second tower, because it was being filmed by many news outlets/people on the street.
• Pentagon plane... again why not just fly a plane into the pentagon? If it hits the lawn - no big deal! Oh, and the lightpoles... if a missle hit the Pentagon, why did the lightpoles come out? No evidence of explosives used.

No Hard Evidence Connecting Bin Laden.

Often used, easily understood.

The FBI made it public that there was no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11. CTers use this as some form of 'proof' that he wasn't involved.

This works AGAINST CTers. If the Government planned it and carried it out, they would make a CLEAR link to Osama in order to strengthen their story.

Are they the smartest Government ever, or totally, totally complacent? We return to: We would have got away with it if it weren't for you meddling teenagers!

Flight 93 - Personal Effects

I was looking through my house today as I was packing, getting ready to head back to Uni, when I came across a readers digest that, in the top left hand corner had "Flight 93 - What We Never Knew". It was a very good read (its an excerpt from Lyz Glick's book "Your Fathers Voice". If you don't know, her husband Jeremy was one of the passengers who helped bring the plane down in Shanksville.

Anyway, the third paragraph was interesting to me, and should prove interesting to anyone who thinks that personal effects cannot survive plane crashes (passports, clothing etc). Anyway, here is a clip for you to read:

Able Danger claim is baseless!

Many conspiracy theorists claim that they're chasing a new investigation for 9/11... well, here is a new investigation that shows what CTers considered to be a strong arguement is false.

The Senate Intelligence Committee has rejected as untrue one of the most disturbing claims about the Sept. 11 terrorist strikes — a congressman's contention that a team of military analysts identified Mohamed Atta or other hijackers before the attacks — according to a summary of the panel's investigation obtained by The Times.

The conclusion contradicts assertions by Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.) and a few military officers that U.S. national security officials ignored startling intelligence available in early 2001 that might have helped to prevent the attacks.

Do you honestly believe America, global hegemon, imperial leader, sole superpower & colonial collossus is so bereft of enemies who want to kill them that they have to invent them?

$2.3 trillion, in simple terms.

This is a heavily used arguement by the conspiracy theorists. For the uninformed, on September 10th 2001 Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield announced that the pentagon could not track $2.3 trillion. CTers use this as some sort of evidence that 9/11 was an inside job in as much as it was announced before the tragic day, so as to cover it up or something. Points to consider:

• The entire defense budget for 2001 was about $292 billion, so in order to believe that the government lost $2.3 trillion you'd have to believe that over 8 years' of spending had gone for nothing. (Thanks SLC blog)
• Why would Rumsfield even announce this?
• Since CTers can't really claim that 9/11 was a HUGE cover up in as much as literally THOUSANDS of people would have had to have kept shut about it, they can't say that this money would go to 'paying people off'. They have to resort to saying about '7 people' were in on it, which completely disregards the paying off issue.

So the next time someone brings this your way, you can counter them.
